We should not have a system where you can essentially take out insurance on your neighbor’s house because you know it’s going to catch on fire and burn down in flames. We should not have a system where instead of calling the fire department, you allow your neighbor’s house to burn to the ground so you can collect the insurance and walk away filthy rich. This is what actual Wall Street firms did when they created collateralized debt obligations they knew were going to fail, sold them to investors, and bet against them. This is why we should occupy Wall Street.
