Uh. So the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a section on “Zombie Preparedness” on its website, which includes a 40-page comic book on what you should do/what might happen if we ever experienced any sort of zombie apocalypse.
I read the comic in a few minutes and it’s totally unrealistic (and yes, I know we’re talking about zombies here, but the CDC is the one who put this crazy comic book out there in the first place)! SPOILER ALERT: The CDC’s suggestion is to have a “go bag” and to stay indoors until you run out of food. You’ll then have to dodge zombies to get to a safe zone where the government will provide you with military protection and food in something that looks like the Superdome right after Hurricane Katrina. In the CDC’s version of how we survive the apocalypse, nobody wants to kill any zombies because the zombies are still considered citizens who have the potential to be cured with a vaccine. In fact, when the zombies approach the Superdome, the military doesn’t know what to do. They just throw down their machine guns and everyone runs for their lives. Also, the CDC believes that it would come up with a cure for the zombie virus in just one week!!!
Thanks for trying, CDC!
